This site has no user accounts, no login and no registration. We never ask for your name, email address or documents. Two technically necessary first-party cookies are set: a coarse country code derived from your IP by the network in front of our server, and the campaign parameters of the link you arrived through. Both are HTTP-only, expire after 30 days, and are used only to understand which countries and campaigns our visitors come from. Legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest). Your answers in the programme finder and the calculators are stored in your browser's local storage so you do not lose them when you navigate. They are never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Our university and programme data is stored in a Supabase (Supabase Inc.) PostgreSQL database. It contains reference data about public institutions only — no personal data about visitors. Since Supabase may process data in the US, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure an adequate level of data protection (Art. 46 GDPR). When you complete the programme finder we record the anonymous search criteria (degree, subject, language, grade, budget, intake) together with your IP address, so we can see which searches are common and which return nothing useful. We use Umami, an open-source analytics tool running on our own infrastructure. It records page views and a small number of interaction events in aggregate. It sets no cookies, stores no personal data and does not follow you across other websites. No data is shared with third parties. Legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

This site is funded by display advertising delivered by Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited). When an ad is shown, Google may set cookies or read device identifiers in order to serve and measure the advertisement, and may process that data in the US on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses. Consent for this is managed by Google's own consent tool for AdSense ("Privacy & messaging", also known as Funding Choices), which runs on this site and reads/stores your choice to decide whether and how ads are served to you. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through that dialog, and you can control personalised advertising generally in your Google account settings at adssettings.google.com. Legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent).

Some pages carry links to blocked-account and insurance providers. These are marked as a paid partnership and carry rel="sponsored". If you follow such a link, the provider may record that you came from this site in order to attribute the referral, which usually involves a cookie set by that provider on their own domain. We receive only aggregate referral statistics and never your personal details. Their privacy policies apply once you leave this site.

You have the right to access, rectify, restrict or delete any personal data we hold, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to data portability. Because we hold no accounts, in practice there is very little to request — but you can write to [email protected] at any time and we will answer. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
